Egyptian Mummy Charm Tutorial

These Egyptian mummies are so adorable and perfect to keep little hands busy.

We got the idea for them from our last day at camp. We traded SWAPS (Special Whatchamacallits Affectionately Pinned Somewhere) from around the world. When we got home, we had SWAPS from seven different countries. These little guys represented Egypt.

Supplies
White pipe cleaner
Googly eyes
Glue
Large paper clip

Take the end of your pipe cleaner and hook it under the inside loop of the paper clip and fold it over.  This secures the mummy to the paperclip.  If you don't start with this step, the mummy will slide right off.

Start at the top, loop the pipe cleaner over the paperclip.  Don't make it too tight or you'll run out of pipe cleaner before you get to the bottom of the paper clip. Continue till you get to the bottom.  It's okay if there are gaps, they are great areas for eyes.

Find a good spot for a googly eye (or two!) and add it on with glue.

We are going to attach our charms with safety pins, but you can use other clasps to secure your mummy to whatever you need.
