These paper pyramid lanterns are so easy and fun to do, I'll guarantee you won't be able to stop at just one.
Have the triangle template out with some fun colorful cardstock, or old magazines, at a crafts table at your Eid party for the kids to make, then they can light them up as the night wears on.
Supplies
Magazine
Triangle template
LED light
Scissors
Tape
We found a triangle shape online and blew it up in a word document. We cut it out and folded it into thirds. We placed this template on our page of magazine and played around until we had a "front" of the lantern we wanted to highlight. Cut the triangle shape out of the magazine.
Fold your magazine triangle into thirds again and cut off one of the sides.
Take a long piece of tape and place it inside one of the sides, bringing up the other side to fold them together. You might need to practice a few times first and they do get easier to make the more you make. Try to get rid of as much of the gap as you can.
Turn on your LED light and place it inside your triangle. Never ever place a live candle in this lantern, it is too small and will catch on fire. Even with the LED, never leave a candle unattended.
Place your pyramid outside, turning the LED light towards the wall to illuminate the front.
Enjoy your light(s)!
