Zakat Wood Box Tutorial by A Crafty Arab |
Zakāt is one of the Five Pillars of Islam, where one gives a fixed portion of one's wealth to charity, generally to the poor and needy.
I love working with wood so for today's project we made a zakat wood box by adding painted wood moon and star cut outs. We wanted a place to put our money throughout the month to donate on Eid.
Supplies
A box
Wood glue
Acrylic paint
Sponge brush
Moon and star wood cutouts
Newspaper
Choose a colour to paint your moon.
Pick another fun colour to paint your star.
Put wood glue on the back of your moon and put it on your box.
Put wood glue on the back of your star and put it on your box.
Fill your Zakāt box with money!
